Disney Explorers: 2008-Dec: 8D7N Hong Kong Year End Holiday Part I

For our end of the year retreat, we decide to go to Hong Kong as it is cheaper comparable to other parts of the world plus there is DISNEYLAND!

It was a really fruitful and fun trip, especially for disney lovers like my husband and I.

Let's start our Hong Kong adventure!

We took the airport express train from the airport to Kowloon. It was really convenient and fast.

Woofy in the Christmas mood still...

We stayed at the Club Room at Metropark Hotel, Mongkok for the first 5N of our trip.

Our review

- Comfort Room is HORRIBLE (gotta spend SGD60/night more to upgrade to Club Room)

- Club Room is really quite nice and big though

- Location is not ideal, need to take the shuttle bus to get to the train station

- Breakfast is okay

- Service is surprisingly lousy at Club Room Reception

Conclusion: Not recommended. Will not go back again as I am very particular about service.

We headed out to the Langham Place, a great place for shopping and currently is the best hotel in the whole of Hong Kong (accordingly to Tripadvisor.com)

I love that place! It is really beautiful and big.

Day 02

We headed out to Ocean Park.

Honestly, I do not enjoy Ocean Park much. Some people may claim that Ocean Park is more fun than HK Disneyland and I believe they say that because there isn't much thrill rides at HK Disneyland YET.

However, when comes to quality service, ambience, beauty... Hong Kong Disneyland is MUCH MUCH better... there is no comparison.

Back to Ocean Park... let the pictures speak for itself.

Day 03

Rest and Relax Day...we basically walk and shop around Hong Kong.

December's weather at Hong Kong is quite nice, cooling. But shopping is not that great because they only sell winter season clothing...which is not that nice/practical for Singapore weather.
